Looking Into The Faraway Present

Anything holy, good, or
wise is glorious at first
until it isn’t. Somewhere
in the middle it becomes
something else entirely,
another anything that’s
hard, possibly boring and
more than what was planned
for, maybe worth revisiting
later.
This is where durable
transformation takes place
in small aggregations of
aggravated daily movements
forward while there are so
many other new things one
could start with our hungers
all alive.
