(based on Psalm 46:10)
What if being still isn’t stopping,
or staying in one place long
enough to create an illusion
that the opposite of motion
is the meaning of calm?
Beneath the surface,
everything small is dancing.
Above the surface,
everything large is dancing.
This water lives in currency.
So do you. So do I.
These trees live through seasons.
So do you. So do I.
What if it’s balance,
and awareness of what’s within us
vibrating, swirling, expanding, contracting
across changing patterns
of arrival and presence, then release?
Trust the invitation.
Embrace this moment’s composition.
Be stillness and move
with the music of an ever-creating God!
