Suddenly I Comprehend

Every generation has
known turmoil. Every
journey worth making
follows footprints into
a storm. But now,
now feels more fragile,
more frayed, more
perilous and melancholy.
And yet--- there is a river
of hope beckoning you
to rejoin its slow and
quiet course that never
shouts, never trends,
never seeks the spotlight.
You are one of its signs,
keeping watch, refusing
to turn away from this
world’s trembling, not
because your heart
is unhurt, but because
it’s open and anchored
toward the light.

I like this poem so much. Doris 🥰Allison
